Captivating Individuals With Art in Everyday Life

About Me - Artist Del Fineart

From my small town in Kowai Bush, Springfield, New Zealand, my personal artistic journey began in becoming a Artist. A few years ago, I joined an adult art class never realising that this was going to have such a huge impact on my life.

My life is now filled with art from learning new techniques to creating new artwork in various mediums from fineart oil paintings, victorian watercolors, colored pencil drawings to graphite drawings which is such a beautiful complement to my life. I am a wife, mother, grandmother and now an artist so my days are filled with family, business, and artwork.

I live in the most magical area in New Zealand in Kowai Bush nestled at the foothills of the Southern Alps in the South Island of New Zealand. The beauty of nature surrounds me, bringing inspiration at every turn.

Growing up surrounded by nature and animals, it is no surprise that my art has evolved to specialise in animals, especially horses. We have 17 horses presently on our farm that are a large part of our lives as we run a family horse trekking business called Rubicon Valley Horse Treks.

I am so lucky to have these inspirational animals in my life, and I especially love to capture their individual personalities on canvas.

With my art, I work in multiple genres, such as watercolour, oil, and coloured pencil.

I love to create various paintings from animal portraits and Victorian watercolours to my narrative paintings bringing life to every canvas. I am presently working on my year two of training in the classical arts with artist Jessica Henry in her online course at Renaissance Academy of Fine Arts.

Having completed year one, I am so excited to bring what I have learnt to the canvas creating works inspired by traditional classical art to my favourite, photorealism.

I would love to share my next year of classical learning with you. My year two of training will be full of new inspiration and learning. If you are interested in following my journey, please don't forget to subscribe to my emails as I would love to let you know personally when I have new art available and what I am learning within my ongoing art programme
